Car trailer with tarpaulin – advantages
An unquestionable advantage of tarpaulin trailers is the ability to transport higher loads that exceed the height of a standard sideboard. In addition, we gain more cargo space and the ability to protect transported items from weather conditions (rain or snow).
Virtually any car trailer can be fitted with a tarpaulin. The tarpaulin is supported by a frame made of steel or aluminium profiles, which makes the entire structure rigid and resistant to wind gusts. Boards can also be used as crossbars for the frame, which facilitate loading from the side of the trailer.
Tarpaulin with frame
On small trailers, tarpaulins are 120, 150 or 170 cm high. On larger ones, they can be as high as 200 cm. They can be ordered for any of our goods trailers:
Flat tarpaulin
A car trailer with a flat tarpaulin (known as a ‘tarpaulin cover’) is the ideal solution for those who do not intend to transport tall loads. The tarpaulin cover offers no drag whilst driving and also protects against adverse weather conditions. It is attached directly to the sides; for larger trailers over 300 cm in length, it is worth fitting an additional crossbar – for example, made from a profile. This will eliminate the problem of water pooling on the tarpaulin.
Quality of materials and workmanship
At our factory, we manufacture tarpaulins using Tuplan fabric with a weight of 650 g/m². Trailers fitted with Wiola tarpaulins can also be customised with your company’s advertising, giving you a substantial surface area to showcase your business, goods or services. The fabric used for the tarpaulins has a special UV coating that prevents colour fading for approximately 5 years. It is also highly resistant to stretching and tearing.
